Recently, we took Little M on her first trip from LA to NYC. As a first time mom embarking on a first time flight, I was pretty nervous. Little M is a great baby, but even great babies have their moments....and I figured hers would be 30,000 feet in the sky mid-way through a 5.5 hour flight.
I came across a great idea both from a friend and a viral post online (see #2) - goody bags for those around us!
Honestly...Best. Idea. Ever.
Here were the bags we made for our 15 closest neighbors:
These were a total hit (except with one grumpy old man behind us...but you can't please everyone I guess)!! We included a variety of candy and a pair of earplugs in each bag. Plus, since we boarded first, we explained to those around us that it was Little M's first flight and if it got REALLY bad, we weren't opposed to buying a round of cocktails for everyone :)
I can't imagine not flying with these! The people around us were instantly happier, and they knew from the get go that we were parents who cared about their comfort too.
Little M was such a champ we didn't even need them. But it's always great to make new friends!
