Citrus Lane June Box Review

We've been getting Citrus Lane boxes for about 6 months now, and overall I'm really pleased with our subscription. I love that we get quality products, and it's so fun to get a monthly surprise in the mail. I will say that for the months where I'm not as thrilled about what we received, it's typically because I'm envious of some other age group's items or because I already own something I've received.

This month we received a box for an 11 month old girl, and Little M was excited as always to open it up to see what she got:

As always, Citrus Lane included a list of the items with descriptions:

We really loved most of the items this month! Here's what the entire box looked like:

So let's go through the items one by one.....

The first item that I noticed in the box was a sun hat from iPlay. Love this! Little M is super-white, just like mommy, so anything that offers 50+ SPF protection from turning into a lobster is well received in this household! The hat has a really cute flower design on one side that reverses to (our favorite color) pink. Definitely something we will get a ton of use from!  If you want to buy one, CL offered a coupon code: CITRUS50 for 20% off your order at iplaybabywear.com

Next, we received a veggie pouch from Happy Family. Little M loves this brand and so do I....the only problem is that she pretty much refuses to eat anything pureed lately. Hopefully she'll give this one a shot!

I was super excited for this next item - Episencial SPF35 sunscreen. I mentioned we're white, right? Like really, really white. Casper-like, in fact. Well, in sunny So Cal, that's a problem. I myself am a fan of Neutrogena's uber-high SPF sunscreens (100+, anyone?), but I prefer to use more natural products on Little M. We're already a fan of California Baby sunscreen and that has worked great for us. Episencial gets great reviews though and hopefully this will work equally as well!

*the only negative here is the size...another online reviewer mentioned this, and I felt I had to share. This is a sample of the sunscreen - 1.5oz - and labeled specifically for Citrus Lane. Well, if you peel off the label, you actually see that the tube is designed to hold 2.7oz (or the full size the company sells). I feel like this cheapens the offering, but I'm excited to have a decent sized sample at any rate. If you're interested in purchasing some, use the code CITRUSSUMMER for $5 off any order over $25.

Last, but not least, are the water toys from Haba. Sorry for the blurry picture...as you can see from the little fingers creeping in the bottom of the frame, Little M didn't have the patience to wait for me to take a shot. She wanted that dolphin like whoa! Water not required here, friends... these are small and easy for her to handle, but they feel really well made.

Haba is also offering a discount to subscribers - code CITRUSLANE13 will get you 10% off through 7/31/13 at habausa.com

I have to say... I'm pretty excited to start using the item's from this month's box! I can't wait to get Little M in the pool later today with her hat, sunscreen, and new toys to play with.

And of course, it never fails, where there is tissue paper, Little M finds a snack (don't worry, that little smirk on her face means she knows she's not supposed to eat it, and she didnt):
